Laura Elliott
President, Partnerships & Engagement
Laura Elliott helped co-found InspereX’s predecessor firm Incapital in 1999. As Co-Head of InspereX’s Fixed Income division, she specializes in business development and relationships with the firm’s top-tier clients.
Previously, Ms. Elliott worked at ABN AMRO as Syndicate Manager for the GMAC SmartNotes program, responsible for all dealer relationships. Prior to ABN AMRO, she was at Mesirow Financial for nine years, working consecutively in compliance, retail and institutional sales, and high-yield trading.
Ms. Elliott earned her BS in education from the University of Alabama and currently serves on the President’s Cabinet at the university. She has served as a member of the Bond Dealers of America board and the SIFMA Retail Fixed Income committee. She belongs to the Women’s Syndicate Association and the Security Traders Association of Chicago.
John Tolar
Head of Fixed Income Sales & Trading
Adept at driving growth in his 20 years of leadership at the firm, John Tolar oversees InspereX’s Fixed Income Trading, Dealer Sales, and Institutional Sales teams, including all efforts in delivering diverse fixed-income investment solutions to broker-dealers, institutional investors, registered investment advisors, and banks. Previously, Mr. Tolar held sales roles at Countrywide Securities and FTN Financial and worked as a Portfolio Manager for SunTrust Bank. He earned a BS in business from Florida State University and holds Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
Nick Whiteley
Head of BondNav Business Development & Strategy
Nicholas Whiteley is responsible for driving the growth strategy and partnership initiatives for InspereX’s technology division, including leading enterprise sales efforts and electronic fixed income sales and trading teams.
Prior to joining InspereX, Mr. Whiteley spent a number of years at Credit Suisse, leading US Broker-Dealer and RIA distribution for cross-asset structured derivatives linked to equities, rates and credit. Prior to that, he led equity-linked structured products trading for Incapital and held various roles within a boutique fixed income money manager in London.
Mr. Whiteley earned his Law degree from King’s College London and, prior to his career in finance, qualified to practice as a barrister in the jurisdiction of England and Wales.
Jodi Waber
Managing Director and Head of Sustainable Finance
Jodi is a Managing Director and the Head of Sustainable Finance and Syndicate in the firm’s Capital Markets department. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with a background in the capital markets, syndicate, and fixed income trading. Her current focus is fixed income placement across sectors, and she covers many of InspereX’s programmatic debt issuers. She co-led the creation of the firm’s Impact Investment Platform. Key issuers she has brought to the firm’s programmatic debt issuance platform include Capital Impact Partners, Century Housing, International Finance Corporation, and Local Initiatives Support Corporation. She is the Secretary of the Capital Markets New Business Committee, a committee that reviews and approves all underwriting, sales agency, and investment banking engagements.
Prior to joining InspereX, Ms. Waber was the Head of Private Equity Business Development for a family office and a U.S. Agency bond trader for LaSalle/ABN AMRO. She earned a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the University of Miami. She holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses.
Michael Reichart, CFA
Managing Director, Capital Markets
Michael Reichart has been involved in every aspect of the capital markets underwriting process, from formulating issuance strategies to assisting in the marketing and sales to individual investors. He has participated in the underwriting and sale of over $175 billion in InterNotes® retail notes since 2001 and has played a key role in increasing the firm’s distribution network by adding over 450 dealer partners. He is a CFA® charterholder and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Alain Troadec
Managing Director, Head of Dealer Sales
Managing Director and Head of Dealer Sales Alain Troadec is a seasoned professional in fixed income investments. With more than three decades of experience, he began his career in 1992 when he joined the LaSalle broker/dealer working in technology, operations, trading, and sales. Currently, he oversees efforts to bring InterNotes®, U.S. Agencies, certificates of deposit, and corporate bonds to InspereX’s partners, including broker-dealers, wirehouses, and Registered Investment Advisors. Alain holds FINRA series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.The son of French and Haitian parents, he is fluent in English, French, Haitian Creole, and is currently learning Spanish.Alain is an avid golfer and enjoys giving back to local charities.
Denton Jacobs
Manager & Lead Architect, Fixed Income Engineering
Denton Jacobs serves as Software Engineering Manager for InspereX’s Fixed Income division, leading all engineering efforts related to the firm's proprietary online issuer interface, as well as other fixed income applications. Mr. Jacobs joined the firm in 2011 and after a short stint with Guggenheim Partners, rejoined in 2016 and has been instrumental in powering the firm’s broad distribution. Prior to InspereX, he was a Senior Consultant at West Monroe Partners.
Mr. Jacobs graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Religious Studies. He later earned a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics at the University of Chicago. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Steve Giles
Managing Director, Chief Business Officer
Steve Giles oversees Operations and Application Development teams for InspereX’s broker-dealer business, encompassing back office operations and our proprietary issuance platform. He is further responsible for business continuity and vendor management programs across the entire firm.
Prior to joining InspereX, he spent 21 years at Manulife Financial and its U.S. division John Hancock. While there, he held a variety of operations management positions, including most recently, Vice President of General Account Investment Operations. His experience includes mutual funds, variable annuities, fund administration and fixed income investments and operations.
Mr. Giles earned a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University’s University College and an MSF from Boston College. He previously served on the Board of Visitors for the Northeastern University Business School and on the MBA Finance Career Track Advisory Committee. He holds Series 7, 24, and 27 licenses.
